Privacy Policy

Catalyst Consulting (“we,” “us”) operates Louie and our business assistant product (together, the “Service”) — AI assistants you interact with over Telegram, SMS, and email. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account & billing: your email address, and (for business accounts) your mobile phone number. Payment is handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card details, only a billing reference ID.
• Messages you send us:the content of messages you send the assistant over Telegram, SMS, or email, and the assistant's replies, so it can hold a conversation and act on your requests.
• Data you ask us to remember: lists and records you create through the assistant — groceries, tasks, meal plans, bills, notes, calendar events, and (for business accounts) your customers, jobs, and invoices.
• Calendar access (optional): if you connect Google Calendar, we store an encrypted access token and read/write events on your behalf. You can disconnect this at any time from your dashboard.

How we use it

We use your information solely to operate and improve the Service: responding to your messages, maintaining the lists and records you ask us to keep, sending you the replies and reminders you've asked for, and billing your subscription. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Text messaging & mobile information

If you provide a mobile phone number to use the Service over SMS, that number and your consent to receive text messages are used only to deliver the Service to you. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Message frequency varies based on your use of the Service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for assistance.

Who we share information with

We use a small number of service providers to run Louie, each acting only on our instructions to deliver the Service: Twilio (SMS delivery), Postmark (email delivery), Stripe (billing), Google (calendar sync, only if you connect it), Anthropic (processes message content to generate the assistant's replies), Supabase (account authentication and database hosting), and Vercel (application hosting). We do not share your information with anyone else, and never for their own marketing purposes.

Business accounts & your customers' data

If you use the business assistant to store information about your own customers or leads (name, phone, email, address, notes), you are responsible for having a lawful basis to share that information with us. We process it solely to provide the Service to you and do not use it for any other purpose.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below; we'll delete it within 30 days except where we're required to keep records for legal or billing purposes.

Google user data & Limited Use

Louie's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs (Calendar and Contacts) to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request Google Calendar access (calendar.events) only to read and add events on your primary calendar when you ask the assistant to, and Google Contacts access (contacts.readonly, read-only) only to look up a contact's details when you ask. That data is used solely to answer your request and is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with third parties except the AI provider (Anthropic) that generates the assistant's replies, acting only on our instructions.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption of credentials such as Google OAuth tokens, and access controls restricting who can read production data.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date.
